School Lunch Association Worker (Gander / Central Newfoundland)
We're looking for enthusiastic team members to help prepare and serve nutritious meals to students in Central Newfoundland. Part-time and relief positions available starting September 2026, with paid training provided.
The School Lunch Association (SLA) is looking for reliable and enthusiastic team members to help prepare and serve healthy meals to students in our school lunch programs.
What you'll do
- Prepare, package, and serve nutritious meals
- Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas
- Receive and organize food and supplies
- Assist with inventory and ordering
- Work as part of a supportive team in a fast-paced school environment
What we're looking for
- Impeccable reliability and commitment
- Well-organized with a positive attitude
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow food safety and workplace procedures
- Experience in food service, cleaning, or customer service is an asset, but not required — training is provided

The School Lunch Association is a registered charity that has been providing hot, nutritious lunches to school-age children since 1989. Our non-stigmatizing, pay-what-you-can model ensures that every child can enjoy a healthy meal at school, regardless of their family's financial situation.
Families are invited to contribute a requested $5.00 per meal, but may pay any amount that works for them — and payment amounts are always confidential.
