Halal is an Arabic word that means “permissible.” In terms of food, it means food that is permissible according to Islamic law. In fact, it is the only type of meat observant Muslims are permitted to eat. Halal designation for meat is an important concept and belief associated with food for this religious community.

Dear Parents, Guardians, and students,
We hope this message finds you well. We wanted to inform you of a temporary change in our product lineup. Due to unforeseen circumstances with our current supplier, we are temporarily replacing our Halal chicken with another brand that is not Halal.
This change will impact any chicken menu items that have been ordered effective November 1, 2023. If you have already ordered a menu item that includes chicken for the month of November and wish to be reimbursed, we kindly ask that you adjust your payment total upon your next order to reflect the meals you wish to be compensated for. I.e., Ordered 4 meals with chicken @ $5/meal for a total of $20, then subtract $20 from your next order. All our payment options provide the ability to adjust your payment total at our online checkout window.
We understand that the availability of Halal products is important to many of our children and families, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please rest assured that this is a temporary measure, and we are actively working to restore our regular Halal chicken supply as soon as possible.
Our commitment to providing you with quality products remains unchanged, and we appreciate your understanding during this challenging time. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our customer support team.
